We said the chip would get its own update. This is it.

Coally is the first figure out of the COAL universe. 25 cm of high-gloss black vinyl with a single matte red broken heart — the only two finishes on the whole piece. Long ears. Individually numbered, 001 through 200. Two hundred exist, then the cast is done.

Every one of those two hundred has an NFC chip inside it. Tap it with your phone and it opens a page on coal.art that belongs to that number and no other. No app. No account. No wallet, no token, no blockchain — we want to be clear about that, because the moment you say chip people assume the worst.

What's on that page isn't a certificate. A certificate is a receipt with better typography, and it stops being interesting the second you've read it. It's a Keeper's Log.

Whoever holds the figure leaves one entry — a short note and one image. One. When the figure changes hands, that entry seals and the next keeper writes underneath it. Nothing gets overwritten. Nothing gets deleted.

Which means the thing most brands treat as a problem, we're treating as the point. If your Coally passes through three people over five years, it doesn't get diluted. It gets deeper. A figure carrying three sealed entries is worth more to us than one that never left a shelf, and we suspect it will be worth more to you too.

All two hundred start identical. We are not giving lower numbers more content or better access — every figure opens the same page, with the same story fragment that only holders see. They diverge through what happens to them, not through what we decide. We supply the object. You supply the history.

One thing we won't promise: we are not tying numbers to the order people back in. That's a logistics promise we can't keep honestly at the factory, so we're not making it.
